Met Tricia and Eddie while having breakfast at a coffeshop yesterday!! Never knew they know each other, never mind being a couple!! Tricia was a secondary school schoolmate while Eddie was a good friend I get to know during my army days. They belongs to my two different groups of friends yet fate have it that make them a couple!! They look very much in love and so I'm happily surprise to see them together. It just prove to show how small a world we are all living in... Perhaps living in SG especially. Maybe when I finally fulfil my wish of going to Down-under to further my studies, I will be able meet friends there whom I have lost contact with. That will be real cool!!
Has been studying for exam in the past couple of day with Lydia, Mursh and Nat. Its great to know that there are friends who are sharing and working with you towards the same goal and these friends have been a great motivation for me to strive forward. While we were having our small break yesterday, Mursh suddenly asked when do I planned to get married?!?! We had a good laugh at it 'cause when I was young, I have thought of getting married by the age of 24. Now? Well, I don't think I will be thinking about any relationship until I've finished my studies and establish a career. Love is something I do crave for but it is, for now, a luxury I cannot afford. I really do not want to tied a good girl down because at this moment, I don't think I have the time and energy to give a girl the attention and love she deserved... My heart does flutter when there is a really good girl crossed my path (and there is definitely a few who really caught my attention) but it is just a case of right place wrong time. Hopefully, I have not missed the ship completely...
P.S I may be temporaily stopping my blogging till 5 Oct when my exams are finally over. So till then... :)

Attended Nat's ROM today at Masonic!! She is so beautiful!! No wonder people always said that the a woman's most beautiful day is the day when she is married. Nat may not be wearing the conventional white wedding gown, but her rainbow-coloured dress and her radiant smile still made her the most gorgerous bride I've ever seen!! (Yup, better than the other brides today, who strangely looks rather impatient than bliss.) I'm so glad that I was able to be her photographer and help her to capture every single memorable moments throughout the ceremony. Hopefully, she will be able look back at those pictures that I've taken and smile about it!!
When the ceremony is over, the guests were invited to the Masonic Club to have their buffet lunch. This is when Lydia gave me my belated birthday gift that she and Evvone had bought for me. It sure is special moment, getting your birthday gift on the day where one of your best friends is having her ROM!! It sure is a double dose of happiness for me, knowing Nat is blissfully married and that till today, I'm still receiving birthday gifts and greetings!! Besides Lydia and Evvone, many thanks to Julius, Pang Yong, Audury, Joseph and Janice for their belated birthday greeting. I'm really appreciate it!! You guys have just made what is already a great birthday to a even more memorable one for me!!
7:30 PM
YA!! It my birthday today!! First and foremost, Happy Birthday to Myself!! My birthday wish is simple: I wish that all my friends and family will stay healthy and happy!! Lately, many friends, myself included, have been falling ill at one time or another so I wish they will be able to steer clear of illness. Like to say a big THANK YOU!! to Eng Seng, Philip, Wee Keong, Yuzhong, Red, Peiyih, Hui Hsien, Limin, Leona, Lydia Joli, JS ,Edwin and Leonard who have been sending me their birthday greetings to me in one way or another. Everyone single one of you have been great friends to me and your greetings and regards have really touched me tremendously. Knowing you guys have been the greatest gift that I can ever wish for!!
This birthday will be a memorable one for me. Besides all the gifts and greeting that I've received, my birthday also happen to fall on Mid-autumn Festival. Wonder when will be the next time something like this happen again??

Today was truly suprised when Eng Seng, Philip and Wee Keong came all the way down my school and celebrate my birthday for me. Although it is still a few days easy from the actual day, I must admit I was really, really happy. These bunch of basketball junkies-cum-buddies have never, and I really mean never, remembered my birthday, despite we have been friends for close to 11 years!! So I was surprised that for the first time they actually remembered and bothered to come all the way to town and have a simple lunch (read: food court!!) with me. The action already touched me. To top it off, they gave me a Arsenal jersey as a birthday gift!! Wow!! Thanks a million, guys!! I said before in my previous blog entry that I'm more looking forward to friends get-together as a form of birthday celebration more than anything else. And these 'old friends' had just fulfil my wish! I bet they never or seldom read my blog. They are a bunch who feels that reading/writing blog is a waste of time. So I like that to believe that their sudden appearance today is just a concidence, but it sure is a damn satisfying concidence!!
Ben is having it rough with a friend... Hopefully he can over it soon. Nobody can guaranteed a friendship will a lifetime. In fact, most will just fade as each environment and experiences changes. So treasured it while it is still there... At least when you and your friends are no longer as close it was used to be, there is still happy memories.
Funny moment today: Never realise that a eye can actually look like a asshole/vagina (well, depending which angle ur looking at it) until I saw a photo on Steph's mobile phone!! The whole class was laughing their heads off!! Morale of the story? When taking photograph of one's eye, pls look for a more professional photographer!! HAHAHA!!!

Another assigment charged, non-sleeping 48hrs has passed. Can't believe that I've been having this kind of days so often lately... All this irregular sleeping pattern is causing my old insomina problem to resurface after taking so many years to cure it... No wonder they said old habits die hard. Took years to get rid of my sleeping problem and it just needed a few crazy weeks to bring the old devil back.... Hopefully it will be just a pharse which will be gone once my life is back to normal after the semester is over.
Finally agreed to be Nat's photographer on her ROM on 20th Sept. I was hoping to find her a cheap but really good photographer, but had so far failed miserably. So I had to take up her offer myeslf. It seems to be a challenge that was meant for me right from the start, something which I simply could not avoid. Since that is the way fate is shaping up, I shall face this challenge with gung-ho attitude. I will make sure that I will capture all the beautiful moments on that day and I believe that will be the greatest gift that I could possibly give Nat's on her big day. She has put her trust on me and I've no intention to disappoint her...
Today's is Janice 21st birthday!! So sorry I couldn't celebrate with her. Wish her all the best and that all her dreams will come true. Haiz... taking about birthdays, my own is just days away. Somehow, the attuitude I used to have towards my birthday seems to have changed. I still look forward to it, but while in the past I would have love to celebrate that day with a lot of people, now I just hoped that my close friends that I loved so dearly will be with me on that day. No party, no crazy wild night, just being there with me and let me feel that they care and they remembered, just like how I cared and treasured the friendships that we shared. While there are people who just feel that birthday is just another day, but it is of great importance for me. I'm so afraid of the day when no one else remembered, or doesn't bothered to remember my birthday, when I become someone so insignifcant to those around me. I think when that day come, there is probably no reason for my existence...

What a great day today was!! Went to Pulau Ubin with Limin, Joey, Peiyih, Ben, Red and Yongkang; and it was so fun! Went cycling and took a lot pictures, and more importantly, get to know one another better. A great bonding session with a lot of fun and sweat! Although it began to rain at around 4+ and we had to seek shelter at a Thai temple, it did not dampen our adventurous mood and spirit. We cycled to a quarry after the rain is beginning to stop, and although we had to cycle through mud, pools of water and rocky road, not to mention treachous up-slope, getting cuts and bumps here and there, we all agreed it prove to be a right decision. The sencery was pretty beautiful at the quarry and we took a fair share of photographs, not before climbing over fences and bashing through forested path. Before the rain, we were cycling all over the Ubin, exploring the area and of course, taking more photograph along the way. We also spent some time at the Manama Beach, taking even more photograph and simply fooling around!! After we finally finished cycling and went for some simple wash-up and a change of clothes, the skies was already dark. But... we couldn't resist and took more photographs!! We spent close to half a hours taking pictures of one another, raking our brains about what pose we should take. When all was done, we took the boat back and had our dinner at the Changi market. What a wonderful day!! I'm sure every single one of us enjoyed ourselves. On a personal note, I'm glad that due to this trip, I was able to get to know Joey and Limin better, wonderful people whom I haven't had the opportunity to get to know earlier till now. Besides that, I'm also glad to observe how this trip had strengthen some's relationship with one another... hehe!! (cheeky laugh!!). All in all, today's trip to Ubin had been a fruitful one. Although not all was able join us today(Jilian, Leona and Hui Hsien), I hope they have also enjoyed themselves as much as we had in whatever they might be involved in yesterday and today. I'm sure we will get another chance for a get-togther again. Maybe camping??? HAHAHA!!!

Went with Natalie and Lydia to look at wedding ring for Natalie's ROM on 20th Sept, Tues. Went to the jewllery shop where Lydia's boyfriend, Alloysius, worked. In the end, Natalie picked the ring that immediately caught my eyes when we went into the shop. I heard later that her future hubby picked another ring for himself which is of another design(these wedding rings come in a pair)... It just shows that even the most lovingly couple still have their differences!!
Besides Natalie, Evvone is also planning to ROM next year Sept. So happy that many of my friends are able to find their true love and settle down. Wondering where is my own true loves lies...
Looking forward to Sunday's Ubin Cycling trip. It is something I been using as a motivational push for the past week. Hopefully the weather will be kind to us since it had been raining quite frequently these days...

Yesterday night was my first performance with the Phinz at ICA, although Phinz is once again incomplete, with Hui Hsien not present. At least we have a new member in Chilian. The crowd wasn't the most interactive one, with the audience in the 40s-50s age range, despite our effort in singing songs we felt that they will be familiar and we trying our best to warm up the crowd. Our performance wasn't very impressive either, with a couple off-tune here and few song entrance there... The sound system wasn't suitable for a singing performance either; couldn't hear what we were singing so we have to sing louder and Wensheng, who was there, said it sound like we were blasting!! Later Joey called Ben and said that I was good at arousing the crowd... Looking at the lukewarm response from the crowd, I wasn't sure that was a complement... Haha!!
Went to Hui Hsien's grandfather wake tonight with Ben, Red and Yong Kang. Lost out way and realised we took the bus at the wrong direction!! The wake was held at the terrance house area which surprise me a little. Hui Hsien seems to be fine but due to many rituals that she was involved in, we did not have much oppportunity to talk. Instead we talked among ourselves and also with Hui Hsien's family friend, a middle-age couple, who were sharing the same table with us. Sometime, its pretty refreshing talking to someone who are older, wiser and more experience than ourselves. Sharing of ideas but not over-drowning the other party to the point of sounding nagging or lecturing. An unexpected encounter...
